KSLU MOOT COURT COMPETITION

Introduction
The Karnataka State Law university was established in 2009 with the avowed object of providing quality legal education in the state of Karnataka. It is making all out efforts for the growth of legal education in Karnataka by including appropriate components to professionally orient the students.

The Karnataka State Law University had organised its 5th International Law Moot Court Competition on the topic of “Territorial Sovergnity” on 23rd and 24th March 2018. The motive behind the moot court competition is “to assist the students in developing their skills in the International Law and to provide the platform for young law students where they can know the issues related to the international law”.

IFIM Law team comprising of Ms. Vaishnavi as Speaker, Ms. Manju Shree. V as Speaker and Naveen Polisetty as Researcher (pursuing 3rd yr BBA LLB) had participated in the KSLU International Law Moot Court Competition. 21 teams from various prestigious law Colleges/Universities participated in the competition. IFIM team qualified up to Semi-Finals round and secured 3rd position out of 21 teams in the Competition.

Moot contenders against IFIM:

• Preliminary rounds against Rajiv Gandhi Law College, Bangalore
• Quarter Finals against M.S Ramaiah Law College, Bangalore and Semi-Finals against J.S.S. Law College, Mysore.
• The two-days competition was judged by various Judges/ Senior Advocates from District Court to High Court of Karnataka.

Our Experience:

First, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to IFIM Law School for the providing an opportunity to participate in the KSLU International Law Moot Court Competition. By participating in this Moot Court Competition, we came to know about the issues and challenges involved in the International Law and how to deal with the International Cases.

Participating in the International Law Moot Court Competition like KSLU, is very useful for us to grab the opportunities in fields of International Law.
