Talking Tokyo - An Insider into the 2021 Tokyo Olympics

Centre for Sports Law, Economics and Policy (SLEP) aims to collaborate at an international and national level for promotion of Sports Law that continues to be a niche field in legal academics and practice. It will mark the beginning of an important milestone in the road map towards establishing a critical discourse on sports law in India and around the world as well. The idea is to engage in brainstorming of innovative ideas and techniques to bring to the forefront the tremendous legal and academic potential of Sports Law field. The Centre will be focusing on filling-in the gaps and answering various key questions in sports law, which is in the midst of an exciting, yet challenging, transformative process. The factual uniqueness of issues pertaining to sports and its interrelationship with law require unique analysis and the SLEP will be taking the initiative to undertake the same. The idea behind setting up this Centre is to explore the niche field of Sports Law in its utmost simplicity and glory. There are a few Centers, albeit dormant in their functioning lately and hence, this Centre aims to counter this research and writing gap. The Centre aims to go beyond fence-setting by including diverse international and national perspectives of scholars and practitioners on Sports Law
